‘Azerbaijanfilm’ Studio named after Jafar Jabbarly hosted an event dedicated to distinguished representative of Azerbaijan culture and national cinema, cinematographer, film director, the Honored art worker of the Republic of Azerbaijan – Nizami Abbas’s 60th jubilee.
Nizami Abbas dedicated 40 years of his life to the art of cinema and shot a lot of compelling feature and documentary films. The documentary films that he shot, such as ‘The White-Black World’, ‘’The Last Step’, ‘This Is Nakhchivan’, ‘The Agony Roads’, ‘Our Sorrow…Our Pride’, ‘The Caravan of Mourning’, ‘Muhammed Fuzuli’, ‘The Last Days of Lachin’, have always served to preserve our national history. He also shot feature films ‘The Arms of Aphrodite’, ‘The Tale of the Old Oak’, ‘The Old Ones…the Old Ones’, ‘The Devil in Front of Eyes’, ‘Farewell, the South City’, ‘The Tale of the Lonely Pomegranate’.
Nizami Abbas shot the most essential incidents in Karabakh war, created a chronicle of our nation and by this proved his loyalty to native land.
